Merlot is the most wide-spread red vine in Friuli. In the gravely and stony soils of the Grave del Friuli area, Merlot is enhanced to give extraordinary performances. Therefore, it is clear how Merlot is not easily classified, as its taste changes depending on the nature of the soil and the areas.This particular Merlot is slightly herbaceous, full; with ageing it becomes dry with a bitterish aftertaste.

Food Pairing:

It goes paticularly well with roast, fried, stewed white meats and poultry. It can be consumed throughout a meal, provided it is not complicated.
